and Rochelle Petty makes it 12 this winter...

Yorkshire Academy member Rochelle Petty has pushed the number of Yorkshire players on England duty this winter to twelve after being selected in a 13-woman England Academy squad to tour India this March.

Rochelle will join up with the squad in Loughborough before travelling to India between 13th and 27th March. The squad will play a few competitive matches in Bangalore during an arduous training programme.

Rochelle's selection signifies the progress she has made as a player. She has spent six years with the Yorkshire Academy and the England squad has been selected from players thought to be knocking on the door of the full England side.

Rochelle said: "I'm really looking forward to going to India. I've worked really hard this winter and feel that my game has progressed. My selection for this trip takes me one step closer to the full England side and gives me a real incentive to keep pushing myself. I've worked really hard on my fitness this winter, gained an extra yard of pace with the ball and I've worked on my batting to become a genuine all-rounder."
