Yorkshire Cricket in the Community Report 2008/09
Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Yorkshire Cricket Board are delighted to present the Yorkshire Cricket in the Community Report 2008/09.
Yorkshire Cricket in the Community, launched in April 2008, is the county's strategic programme, which has encouraged the development and sustainability of a comprehensive, countywide infrastructure for cricket in Yorkshire. The programme will guide the work of all involved in the provision of cricket and its related activities, while simultaneously increasing interest in the game and generating more fans and players. In 2008/09 it has directly reached over 190,000 people.
The Community Report is the first time all of the previously disparate pieces of community activity by Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Yorkshire Cricket Board have been brought together to formulate a portfolio piece on Yorkshire Cricket and a community strategy for the future.
Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Yorkshire Cricket Board are now looking forward to launching the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation in August 2009, which will help fund the Yorkshire Cricket in the Community developments. Further details about this will be issued in due course.
I hope you will find the report interesting and would undoubtedly welcome your thoughts on how you think the Yorkshire Cricket in the Community Programme can benefit your business or group.
Kind Regards,
Alison Giles
