Pupils visit Headingley from Dar-ul-Hikmat School in Lahore

School pupils from Dar-ul-Hikmat in Lahore, Pakistan, visited Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground for the Yorkshire v Leicestershire Twenty20 match on Thursday 26th June.

The pupils were provided with goodie bags on arrival and had looked forward to watching the match. Unfortunately, due to bad weather they were disappointed but the pupils enjoyed seeing the ground and appreciated the goody bags. The society Dar-ul-Hikmat is for the financially poor and acadmeically deprived youth of Pakistan. The under-privileged students have clear academic and career goals with the initiative and drive to become more resourceful persons in the community.

The pupils stayed at Bodington Hall residence and were linked with South Leeds High School pupils as buddies. They spent a week in Leeds, visited the Royal Armouries, Leeds City Centre, York, Bradford IMAX and spent quality time at our school involving themselves in the ICT work as well.
