Springwood and Bradford Moor in Drax Cup Finals
The Hanson and West Bradford Schools Sports Partnership Drax Cup Final were held on the 7th and 8th May. Over 25 schools from the area took part in the competition, with many Year 4s receiving coaching for the first time and a large number of Young Leaders from the recent course run by Manningham Cricket Centre helped out on the day.
The West Bradford Schools Partnership Finals were won by Springwood and the Hanson Schools Partnership final was won by Bradford Moor. Both will now go through to the Finals at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground.
Shiv Krishan, Community Liaison Officer in Bradford for YCCC, commented: ‘The standard of competition has been extremely high particularly amongst the girls. We really hope the competition has encouraged more young people to continue their cricket interests and we hope to see some of the competitors at some of our local cricket clubs soon.
