Allerton Primary U11 Girls Win the Festival
Allerton Primary U11s Girls Cricket Team were the winners of the first Zara Sports Centre Girls U11 Community Festival.
The festival was organised with learning mentors from Heaton Primary who, after a local Football Festival, felt a need for other girls festivals. Shiv Krishan, Bradford Community Liaison Officer for Yorkshire County Cricket Club, helped with organisation.
Six local teams entered and enjoyed a fun afternoon and Mr Boag from Yorkshire Charitable Youth Trust spoke to the children and helped present prizes.
A 10-week Girls Cricket Fun Session will be held at the Zara Sports Centre on Wednesday evenings 5.45-7.00 starting 14 may 2008. For more information please email Shiv at shiv.krishan@hotmail.com
