It takes a Professional Person to be a Professional Player

Even if you don't want to be a Professional Player, it takes a lot to be a Professional Person.
The players at YCCC live the dream playing the game they love every day and get looked after by a big team of experts including the coaches, physiotherapists, managers and administration staff. One day their playing career will come to an end though and they need to prepare themselves for life after playing cricket so they can continue to live and have fun. Thay are continually furthering their education, gaining additional skills and making the right about diet, fitness and presenting themselves as Professional People so they can not only do well and get a job, but so that people continue to respect them.
Everyone can be a Professional Person not matter what you do. Whether you're at school, college, playing sport, hanging out with friends, working in a part-time job or even at home, always try and better yourself and be a Professional Person.
There are 3 aspects to being a Professional Player or Person:
Skills
  • So not everyone likes school but it is a really important part of your life and it can't be that bad getting to hang out with your friends all day! Find subjects that interest you so you can enjoy your work, have fun and get some good grades on your records. This really will help you later on especially if you're not sure yet what you want to be.
  • Hobbies and interests outside of school are not only a great way to make new friends and have fun, but will also help you build up some basic skills . It's always a good talking point too and will keep you busy and active after school and throughout the holidays.
  • If you enjoy sport why not sign up for some holiday camps or even try volunteering to help some of the younger children?
Wellbeing
  • Make sure you eat healthily and get a balanced diet to ensure you're getting everything your body needs
  • Exercise regularly to keep fit and active
  • Talk to someone if you're getting pains or feeling unwell
Respect
  • Respect is about treating others as you wish to be treated and behaving in an appropriate manner
  • Through having respect you will also gain respect from people around you
