Yorkshire County Cricket Club has unveiled its new LV= County Championship shirt for the 2011 season at one of the dealerships of its official sponsor JCT600, marking the start of a three year sponsorship deal.

Gerard Brophy and Steven Patterson joined John Tordoff, chief executive of JCT600, at their Bentley showroom in Leeds prior to leaving for Barbados to unveil the new design that will be worn by players and fans all over the country this year.

The shirts will be available to buy from March 19^th (at the Club’s AGM) and will be first worn by the team during their opening fixture against Worcestershire on April 8th. They will go on sale in the YCCC Shop at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground, from the shop section of this site and also in a variety of sporting retailers across the region.

John Tordoff said: “It was a proud moment to see the JCT600 logo emblazoned on the new shirts and see our sponsorship come alive. JCT600 has enjoyed a long and illustrious history in Yorkshire and the decision to support Yorkshire County Cricket Club seemed like the perfect sporting match.”

Along with the branded shirts, the sponsorship deal will enable significant investment in both the professional and up and coming Academy squads and the two organisations will also be working closely together on a number of community and sport-led initiatives.  

Mr Tordoff continued: “We are looking forward to watching Andrew Gale and his Yorkshire team, as well as supporters, wearing the new JCT600 branded shirts next month.  YCCC had a promising 2010 campaign, we have no doubt that the club’s ambition will be released in the coming seasons and we are excited to be part of that.” 

Both Yorkshire County Cricket and JCT600 are names synonymous with Yorkshire. The cricket club has a proud heritage and holds the record number of County Championship titles to date, the last of these having been won in 2001. With its head office in Bradford, JCT600 is a local family business with a 60-year history and has become a well-known and trusted name in the Yorkshire car retailing industry.
