Schools need to enter by Friday 23 March. This can be done by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting the Yorkshire Cricket Board cricket development manager.
Peter Emery, Production Director of Drax, said: “This is the sixth year of the cup and we estimate that at least 12,500 children have participated to date. Youth sport and education are two important themes of our suppport for communities and this is an ideal way to bring them together.”
The competition begins after Easter and runs until July. Teams play in a series of round robin events to produce four area winners, one from each region of Yorkshire. It is sponsored by Drax Power Ltd and organised by Yorkshire CCC in conjunction with the Yorkshire Cricket Board and Yorkshire Schools’ Cricket Association.
