Another Yorkshire cricket day bites the dust…or sloshes through the mud. This time it was the Second Eleven Trophy match against Nottinghamshire at Worksop College.
When I arrived at 10.15am. the umpires were enjoying a pre-match cup of coffee and planning to start on time. By the time they had finished their drinks the covers were back on, and the tarpaulins followed 15 minutes later.
An early lunch was taken, but the match was officially abandoned shortly after we had finished.
