Andrew Gale: "Excited at what's around the corner"

Andrew Gale is raring to go as the 2012 season fast approaches. He said the team is in 'a fantastic place at the minute.'

Looking back on the Barbados trip Gale said: "I think we played some really good cricket out in Barbados and I’m excited for what’s around the corner for this group of players."

On his own game he is using the injury that saw him miss the last two months of 2011 as real motivation: "I think I’ve got a real hunger this year from missing out at the end of last season. I’ve never been injured before and to miss two months of the season i’ve got the bit between my teeth to score big and be successful this year. Being a leader of the team to watch the side slip away and not being able to take part in it was a horrible feeling, but I think in the long run that feeling of disappointment will stand me in good stead and I’ve got the bit between my teeth to succeed now."
