Bairstow wins another award
Yorkshire's Jonny Bairstow has added another trophy to his fast growing collection by picking up the NBC Denis Compton award for 2011.
The award is given to 'The Most Promising Young Player' at each of the 18 counties and Bairstow,21, took the honour for the second time in his career. His previous win was in 2009.
Bairstow scored 1,213 first-class runs at 48.52 for Yorkshire and the England Lions in 2011 including three hundreds, with his maiden century, against Nottinghamshire in May, converted into a career-best 205.
A season of notable achievements also saw him make his one-day intenational debut for England where he made quite an impact with his man of the match performance!
