The Yorkshire squad arrived in Barbados on Monday evening tired after a long flight, but determined to make the most of a fortnight’s Caribbean preparation ahead of the 2012 season.
Andrew Gale’s side will spend the next two weeks camped in Holetown on the West coast of the island and will be practicing at Foursquare Cricket Club ahead of a 2-day intersquad friendly at the same venue.
Jason Gillespie and Paul Farbrace join Martyn Moxon in overseeing the players’ endeavours and the mood in the camp is one of positivity. The disappointments of last season have been well and truly put behind them and I have never seen a Yorkshire side as determined, focused or with as much unity as this one enjoying the Caribbean sun.
