Bresnan and Shahzad get Bangladesh ODI calls
News categories
Both Tim Bresnan and Ajmal Shahzad have been included in a 13-man England squad to play Bangladesh. The first of three One-Day International is to be played at Trent Bridge on 8 July.
Kevin Pietersen has been ruled out through injury and Graeme Swann has been rested.
Kent off-spinner James Tredwell and Warwickshire batsman Jonathan Trott have been added to the squad.
Pietersen suffered a left quadriceps strain during the 5th NatWest Series ODI against Australia at Lord's on Saturday and will undergo further assessment this week. He will be required to undergo a short rehabilitation period which will rule him out of the NatWest Series against Bangladesh.
Swann will play no part in the Bangladesh series but will be available to Nottinghamshire for LV= County Championship cricket ahead of the npower Test Series against Pakistan.
Aside from the addition of Tredwell and Trott and the omission of Pietersen, Swann and Ryan Sidebottom, there are no further changes to the squad that beat Australia 3-2 in the recent five match NatWest Series.
