Brilliant Bresnan beats India on Yorkshire Day
News categories
Tim Bresnan made it a Yorkshire Day to remember and has surely cemented his place in the England Test team after a stunning all-round display as England beat India in the 2nd Test at Trent Bridge.
This was Tim’s 8th Test and the 8th time he has experienced victory – selectors take note!!
After scoring 11 and taking 2-48 in India’s first innings, Bresnan scored 90 in England’s mammoth 544 second knock and then ripped out the Indian top order with 5-48, the first time he has taken a 5-for in Test cricket and this against the current World Number One Test nation.
England won the 2nd Test by 319 runs and have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in a 4-match series they need to win by 2 Tests to replace the Indians as the World’s number one Test playing nation in the ICC rankings.
Happy Yorkshire Day indeed Brezzy!!
