On 15 September Fred Trueman’s widow, Veronica, will officially open the Trueman Enclosure at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground ahead of the 3rd Day’s play in the LV= County Championship match between Yorkshire and Kent. Veronica will be accompanied by other family members.

Stewart Regan to leave Yorkshire CCC

Pongo Cricket has announced the winner of its inaugural Emerging Cricket Journalist of the Year Award. It has been won by Benjamin Matthews. The site, run by YCCC player Joe Sayers, has been encouraging budding writers to pen quality articles about cricket for the last few months and the Club have been advertising the competition in its matchday programmes.

2009 Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards
The Yorkshire Cricket Board honoured the volunteers in cricket at a ceremony held at the Bradford & Bingley Indoor Cricket on Thursday. The awards celebrate outstanding achievements and were presented by Board Chairman Philip Radcliffe, Vice Chairman Albert Pattison, Director of Development Andrew Watson , ECB Regional vManager Phil Nedley and Yorkshire player Steve Patterson.

PitchVision installed at Indoor Cricket Centre
With the help of Leeds City Council, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club has become the first cricket club in the UK to install PitchVision in its Indoor Cricket Centre. The technology, similar to Sky Television’s Hawkeye, maps and records all deliveries in a cricket net and provides bowlers and batsman with an invaluable insight into their performance.

YCCC Charitable Youth Trust £1,222 richer
Bob Stott of the YCCC Charitable Youth Trust was presented with a cheque for £1,222 by Yorkshire's Chief Executive, Stewart Regan, during the lunch interval today. This cheque is the total raised through members donations which were received when members renewed or joined the Club for the 2009 season.
