CRICKET: 2013 First XI fixtures released

Yorkshire kick start their 150th Anniversary season and their return to Division One of the LV=County Championship with the visit of Sussex to Headingley Carnegie on 10 April. The ECB have released the 2013 season fixtures and an exciting season beckons.

It’s another early start with the first fixture on April 5, a home game against Leeds/Bradford UCCE at Headingley. With no Championship match against the classic Roses rivals Lancashire this year, there is instead a friendly on 16 to 18 April at Headingley to look forward to.

The Championship season sees the first away trip to Durham on 24 April and culminates with a match down at the Kia Oval against Surrey on 24 – 27 September.

Scarborough lovers will enjoy a championship game against Nottinghamshire on 5 – 9 June, swiftly followed by a 40 over match against Leicestershire on June 9. Scarborough hosts Yorkshire again on 28 - 31 August with a championship game for Yorkshire against Durham, a sure favourite for the popular ground.

Yorkshire, who experienced so much success in the FLt20 last summer start their campaign this year with Derbyshire Falcons on June 28 and end on July 28 with Leicestershire Foxes. Finals Day is on August 17 and wouldn’t it be good to experience that again?

The CB40 campaign begins with an away match at Colwyn Bay against Glamorgan on 5 May, followed by a home match against Somerset on 11 May. Yorkshire also end their CB40 campaign with Glamorgan on 26 August, this time as a home match at Headingley.

The home of Yorkshire cricket continues to be a focal point for the best international matches, starting with an Investec Test Series match England against New Zealand on 24 – 28 May. Headingley also stages a NatWest Series One-Day International, England against Australia on 6 September. CLICK HERE to book your tickets for these games.

Around the summer the 150^th anniversary celebrations will be in full swing starting with the Sesquicentennial Soirée in January and followed by the 150^th Anniversary lunch in April. Click here to find out more about these events.
