We appreciate there are a lot of people out there in need of help, but this is one story that has touched the hearts of the people at Yorkshire CCC. The parents of seriously ill four year old, Thomas Cammack, are calling on the people of Yorkshire to help them pay for life saving treatment after he suffered a set back only days before his 4th birthday.

Cricket Auction at The Royal Shepherd
I'm afraid this is a slightly sad story for a Friday ladies and gentlemen. However, the pub has been a very loyal supporter of the Yorkshire Pride Lottery and the fact that their collection of (largely YCCC-related) cricket memorabilia is being auctioned off is worthy of a story. Bill Petherbridge, Yorkshire County Cricket Club's second-team scorer from 1983 to 1996, died on March 9, aged 87.
Why Yorkshire will not bid for Ashes until 2019

Yorkshire County Cricket Club is concerned with the recommendation proposed by the Davies Report Panel to the Secretary of State that future Ashes Series should be categorised as List A events to be broadcast on terrestrial television. The Yorkshire Cricket Board honoured the volunteers in cricket at a ceremony held at the Bradford & Bingley Indoor Cricket on Thursday. PitchVision installed at Indoor Cricket Centre
With the help of Leeds City Council, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club has become the first cricket club in the UK to install PitchVision in its Indoor Cricket Centre. The technology, similar to Sky Television’s Hawkeye, maps and records all deliveries in a cricket net and provides bowlers and batsman with an invaluable insight into their performance.

YCCC Charitable Youth Trust £1,222 richer
Bob Stott of the YCCC Charitable Youth Trust was presented with a cheque for £1,222 by Yorkshire's Chief Executive, Stewart Regan, during the lunch interval today. This cheque is the total raised through members donations which were received when members renewed or joined the Club for the 2009 season.
