DRAX FINALS: Finals postponed due to weather

Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground was to play host to potential future stars of the game this Sunday 8 July as four schools were tobattle it out on Drax Cup Finals Day. However the weather has forced a postponement and we will update you on the revised date as soon as we can.
Primary school cricket teams representing the four regions of Yorkshire are competing in the finals of the Drax Cup 2012.
The four finalists are: Rawdon St Peter’s Primary School, near Leeds; Driffield Junior School; Bedale Primary School, and Herringthorpe Junior School, Rotherham.
The Drax Cup is now the biggest Under 9s cricket competition in the country and is sponsored by Drax Power Limited as part of its Cricket In The Community scheme which provides cricket coaching to schools and organised by The Yorkshire County Cricket Club in conjunction with Yorkshire Cricket Board and Yorkshire Schools’ Cricket Association.
