Yorkshire cricket supporters are being encouraged to act early and purchase their memberships for the 2011 season ahead of the Chancellor’s prospective VAT increase. Existing and new members will benefit from the Early Bird Membership scheme as prices are frozen at 2010 levels and they also qualify for the priority window for One-Day International tickets.

It has been an exciting 2010 season and Yorkshire’s commitment to homegrown talent is beginning to bear fruit under the progressive leadership of new captain Andrew Gale.

The team regularly took to the field with 10 players who had come through the Club’s Academy system and this popular approach will continue in 2011. The squad has been supplemented by the return of Ryan Sidebottom whose skills and experience will add variety and experience to our bowling attack.

The key elements of the Early Bird Membership offer are:

Anyone who renews or purchases their Membership prior to 20th December 2010 will pay exactly the same price that was charged for membership in 2010, rather than at the increased 2011 rate which includes the increase in VAT due next January.
Anyone taking advantage of the Early Bird Membership offer will be entitled to apply for tickets for England v Sri Lanka on Friday 1st July 2011 within the Members’ priority ticket application period which runs until 19th November 2010 before tickets go on general sale.

The competition structure for the 2011 season will be finalised shortly and the Club will inform all Members of the outcome of the ECB taskforce’s decision and fixture list. The Club will also permit Members to change to a different membership option if they so wish once all these details are known.

Yorkshire CCC have a wide range of Membership Options to suite the palate of all cricket lovers. In addition, a superbly priced Junior Membership – The Yorkshire Tykes – is available for just £39.

A new family membership was introduced in 2010 which has proved extremely popular with families wanting to take advantage of the huge savings to be made. For as little as £130 for a whole season an entire family can enjoy full benefits of Yorkshire adult and junior membership.
