EVENT: Join Yorkshire players for awards dinner

Yorkshire Player Awards for this season will form part of the evening's programme when Yorkshire Players’ Association in conjunction with the County Club hold their annual dinner in the Long Room at Headingley Carnegie on Sunday, September 2 (6pm for 6.45pm).
Master of Ceremonies will be cricket commentator Dave Callaghan, of Radio Leeds, who does ball-by-ball broadband commentaries on all of the county’s matches. Dave will interview some of the successful players, while James Buttler will show filmed footage of the highlights of Yorkshire’s 2012 season.
Further entertainment will be provided by top comedian Johnny Casson. Tickets for the dinner cost £35, and bookings can be made at the hospitality and events department at the Club’s office, Tel. 0113 203 3667, or purchased directly from the ticket office in Yorkshire Cricket Centre in St Michael's Lane.
They will also be on sale at the Scarborough ground during Yorkshire's CB40 League match against Warwickshire at North Marine Road on Monday, August 27, and throughout the four days of their Championship fixture with Gloucestershire which starts at the same venue on the following day.
The new chairman of the Players’ Association is former Yorkshire all-rounder and vice-captain Neil Hartley, who succeeded Bryan Stott at the association’s annual meeting in April.
