Grand gathering of the old players at Headingley
Members of Yorkshire County Cricket Club Players’ Association are invited to attend the Professional Cricketers’ Association Past Players’ Day which this year will be held on August 5 in the old pavilion at Headingley Carnegie.
The event is being held on the third day of Yorkshire’s LV County Championship match against Nottinghamshire, and the two-course lunch will follow the morning session of the match. Afternoon tea will also be provided.
In previous years, the lunch has usually being held at Edgbaston, but the PCA have decided to use other venues, starting with Headingley Carnegie.
Association secretary Geoff Cope, above, said: "Application for tickets, which are limited to about 100, is on a first come, first served basis, and I am hoping that there will be a good turn-out from former Yorkshire cricketers.”
Tickets can be obtained by contacting either Geoff on 07768-558112 or PCA assistant chief executive Jason Ratcliffe on 07768-558050.
