Harmison said: "It should be a good challenge and obviously I’m looking forward to it. I’ve not come down to get fit, I’ve come down to win cricket matches."
"I’m going to enjoy the challenge. Traditionally-wise there’s been some great people come out of Yorkshire. They are always well supporterd, they are knowledgeable people and love the game of cricket. It’s a massive hotbed of cricket.
"I’ve played a lot against Yorkshire, but hopefully I can do a good job for Yorkshire. I feel as if I’m well thought of in north-east cricketing circles.
"Whether I’m here a month, end of season, however long, I hope in the future I can come back if I’ve done a good job with head held high and regarded as someone who helped Yorkshire County Cricket Club achieve what they are hoping to achieve."
