Jacques Rudolph returns to Yorkshire
The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that Jacques Rudolph will return to the Club as an overseas player for the remainder of the 2011 season.
Clearance from the ECB has now been granted and Jacques first match will hopefully be the home LV County Championship match against Lancashire 20th – 23rd July.
Prior to being released from his contract at the end of the 2010 season, Jacques had been at Headingley Carnegie for four seasons since joining as a Kolpak player in 2007. He excelled with the bat in all forms of the game and scored over 1,000 first class runs every season whilst amassing an impressive total of 8,629 runs in all competitions for the White Rose.
Martyn Moxon, Yorkshire’s Director of Professional Cricket, said: “Jacques is a hugely respected and popular player and we have missed his contribution in all forms of the game this season. The entire Club is very pleased to welcome him back and we look forward to his runs lifting the team in the remaining matches.”
