Operations Manager - Pro Coach Yorkshire Cricket Ltd (PCYC)

This exciting new role will be based at the PCYC Office at Headingley Indoor Cricket Centre and reporting to the company directors. A suitable person is required to manage and oversee the day-to-day running of all aspects of PCYC. PCYC is the official coaching deptartment of Yorkshire CCC providing coaching to cricketers across the county throughout the year. Conducting a combination of administrative and coaching duties, the candidate will be required to organise, market, design and run coaching courses and events, introduce new cricket related business opportunities to the company, appointing and co-ordinating the appropriate coaching staff throughout. The candidate will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the PCYC website.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about cricket coaching with a strong coaching background, accustomed to business development, a strong man manager with excellent administrative and organisational skills, as well as having a sound knowledge of the cricket structure throughout Yorkshire.

Essential Skills

  • ECB Level 2 qualified coach (including relevant up to date CRB, Child Protection and First Aid Certificates)
  • Good telephone manner and excellent organisational skills
  • Proven experience of leadership
  • Full Clean driving license with own car
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of the cricket and coaching structures across Yorkshire

Desirable skills

  • Previous experience of co-ordinating coaching courses on a large scale
  • Experience of business development
  • Access to current professional cricketers for coaching purposes
  • Contacts within the private school sector for ongoing business expansion
  • Experience of playing cricket at a professional level
  • Marketing experience
  • ECB Level 3 qualified coach

Salary

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
