Azeem Rafiq finally got his hands on his 2nd XI cap at Headingley Carnegie yesterday.

On 10th July when four of his teammates received their caps Azeem was away with England Under-19s. James Lee, Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Gary Ballance and Jonathan Bairstow picked up their caps from Anthony McGrath ahead of the Durham LV County Championship match in July but Azeem was missing on England duty.

Ahead of the Roses Championship match on Wednesday Anthony McGrath tidied up proceedings by handing over the precious headware to the 18-year-old spinner.
