SHOP: Receives President's approval at opening

The Club President Geoffrey Boycott cut the ribbon at 1.15pm to officially open the new Club Shop in the Yorkshire Cricket Centre on St Michael's Lane.
With his customary panache the President signed autographs, conducted interviews with the assembled media and extolled the virtues of having a fantastic new shop facility that was easily accessible to Members and supporters.

Geoffrey said: "It's my pleasure and delight and honour to officially open this shop. It's going to get hundreds of kids every week, and grown ups, practicing in the Yorkshire Cricket Centre and they can buy gifts etc. You want it right there on the spot and eventually we've got it right."
