Skipper Gale says thanks for donations
YCCC captain Andrew Gale and physio Scot McAllister would like to thank all the supporters who so generously donated money towards their charity bike ride in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
So far they have raised a stunning £11,075 for the charity and both are extremely grateful.
The gruelling bike ride is from Yosemite National Park to San Francisco and will be ridden over six long days covering over 320km. The lads leave on Sunday and I'm sure you'll join us in wishing them the best of luck.....and comfortable saddles!
Andrew says "My family has been touched so much by cancer over the last 10 years, Marie Curie has helped in a very personal way to make things easier. I have been looking to raise some money for Marie Curie for some time, but the timing has never been right because of my cricket commitments. When I saw this bike ride it provided a great opportunity to raise some money for a great cause."
Scot says "When Galey told me about this ride I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to help such an invaluable charity. Marie Curie provides patients and their families with care and support through very difficult times during cancer, we hope to raise as much money as possible in order to help the great work continue"
Please support the boys in any way you can. To donate please go to http://www.justgiving.com/Andrew-Gale0
