Tykes Open Day
The first ‘Tykes Open Day’ of 2011 took place prior to our CB40 match against Kent on May 15th and was a great success.
35 eager young Yorkshire fans (and their equally excited parents!) converged on the Indoor Cricket Centre and took the opportunity to collect the autographs of the team before playing Kwik Cricket with them and then enjoyed a coaching session delivered by the Pro-Coach staff.
The whole day benefited from the exceptionally generous support of the Yorkshire Bank events team. They provided medals, mini-bats, flags and a whole host of other goodies for the kids to take away, as well as a bat signed by Alastair Cook for the winner of the ‘Spot the Ball’ competition. Everyone at Headingley Carnegie offers them sincere thanks for all of their help.
The second ‘Tykes Open Day’ of the season will take place on July 17th, when we host Middlesex in the CB40 competition. Details of how to book tickets will appear on the website soon so keep your eyes peeled!
