Yorkshire bowlers put down markers for future
Fast bowler Iain Wardlaw, pictured, chipped in with a five-for and Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Gurman Randhawa picked up four-fors as Yorkshire Second Eleven beat MCC Young Cricketers by 72 runs in their end-of-season “friendly”.
Victory came with a session and a half to spare, a cheering end to a season that has not been conspicuous for success in the Championship or Trophy competitions but, as ever, the squad has fulfilled its mission of preparing Yorkshire’s young talent for the future.
