We are pleased to announce next season’s Yorkshire fixtures and you can now all start planning next summer and begin inking in your cricket viewing schedule on your new 2011 calendars.

Andrew Gale’s Yorkshire start their 2011 LV= County Championship campaign against Worcestershire at New Road on Friday 8 April. As in 2010 that game starts a run of 8 four-day fixtures through April and May, with three of these home matches at Headingley Carnegie. Yorkshire will entertain Somerset in the final Championship game of the season at Headingley Carnegie between 7 and 10 September.

Yorkshire returnee, Ryan Sidebottom, will not have to wait long to come up against his old team-mates as defending Champions Nottinghamshire travel to Headingley Carnegie for a match beginning on April 20 with the return trip to Trent Bridge taking place between 4 and 7 May.

Lovers of the cross-Pennine Roses battles will want to be in Liverpool in mid-May and then back at Headingley Carnegie when the home leg begins at Headingley Carnegie on 20 July.

Members and supporters looking forward to a trip to the east coast will need to put July and August in their diaries. Worcestershire play in the LVCC from 11 July and Sussex are the visitors in August (17-20).

The big news for the North Marine Road ground is the arrival of the first twenty20 match to be played in Scarborough. Durham Dynamos visit the east coast on Sunday 10 July. Get booking your hotel rooms now!

The Friends Provident t20 gets underway for Yorkshire Carnegie on 3 June at Headingley Carnegie as 8 home and 8 away matches pack the calendar until the group stage ends on 15 July when Carnegie travel to Derbyshire. Yorkshire Carnegie will be keen to end their hoodoo in the shortest format of the game and will hope they are travelling to Edgbaston on Saturday 27 August for Finals Day.

The Clydesdale Bank 40 competition runs throughout the season once more with Yorkshire Carnegie playing 6 home and 6 away matches in their group as they hope to go one better than their Semi-Final spot in 2010. The first Carnegie fixture against Netherlands at Headingley Carnegie is on Easter Sunday 24 April, a match at Scarborough against Sussex Sharks on 21 August completes the east coast schedule and the final group game is against Worcestershire Royals at Headingley Carnegie on 29 August. Let’s hope that we will be checking train times for a Lord’s Final on 17 September.
