Yorkshire Players' Association Dinner November 10
Yorkshire County Cricket Club Players’ Association officials are confident of chalking up a hat-trick of successes when they stage their annual dinner in the Long Room at Headingley Carnegie on November 10.
“This will be the third dinner since our formation and we want to ensure that it is just as enjoyable as the two previous ones have been,” said Association chairman, Bryan Stott, the former Yorkshire batsman. “The event once again is open to all cricket lovers and we hope that they will support it in their usual numbers.”
Association secretary, Geoff Cope, the former Yorkshire and England off-spinner, said: “It promises to be a memorable evening. After the dinner, there will be a question and answer session with a leading Yorkshire player and this will be followed by our guest speaker, Graham Walker, of the Grumbleweeds. “Graham is a superb entertainer and his special brand of comedy is guaranteed to go down well with his audience.”
Tickets for the dinner for non-members cost £35 and bookings can be made either by contacting Geoff Cope on 0776 855 8112 or by e-mailing Hayley Wood on h.wood@yorkshireccc.com or writing to her at Yorkshire CCC, Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground, Headingley, Leeds, LS6 3BU.
Cheques should be made payable to YCCC Players’ Association.
