Yorkshire Pride Lottery Draw - Week 16 (4/2/11)
The draw for Week 16 of the Yorkshire Pride Lottery took place at Lottery HQ on Kirkstall Lane on the 4th of February 2011. We used set of balls number 50,000,000 and the machine chosen was 'Massive Waste of Money!'
Good day one and all. I trust your weekends were suitably pleasant. You'll doubtless be pleased to hear that I've adapted quite well to life without hot running water. I knew all of those hours watching 'Ray Mears' Extreme Survival' would pay dividends! Last night I trapped a squirrel in the garden and cooked it over a fire fuelled by a smashed kitchen chair. I then stole a quick wash in Melvin's birdbath next door. If I do ever win this blasted lottery I'm going to abandon the idea of getting a new boiler and go and live in the wilderness somewhere instead......at least until the cricket season is over anyway!
Quite a few winners to name-check this week. Good to see that Catterick Village is still proving to be a lucky spot (are there any flats to rent there?). Well done to John Daniels for his long overdue tenner. John helps mum collect a lot of the subscriptions and is a quiz overlord in his spare time. You may remember him from our valiant appearance on 'Battle of the Brains' some years ago. He inflicted serious psychological damage to an ex 'Mastermind' champion. It was a joy to behold! Greetings as well to Messrs Sunley and Hill at our southern outposts. YCCC sends its collective congratulations to you both.
