Yorkshire Pride Lottery Draw - Week 17 (10/02/12)
News categories
The draw for Week 17 of the Yorkshire Pride Lottery took place at Lottery HQ on Kirkstall Lane on the 10th of February 2012. We used set of balls number 64 and the machine chosen was 'Nightingale'.
Hello everyone! Well, another week brings another jackpot winner. We despatched our team of crack financial advisors to Queensbury. They normally advise 'investing' in a sporting certainty. Their latest tip was Ivory Coast to win the African Cup of Nations. Oh dear! The black hole of luck that is the YCCC office continues to demonstrate its astonishing power. It would appear that the more memberships we buy the less we feature on the money list. It's a pleasure to welcome Will Saville, our new Community Manager, to the ranks of the penniless idiots. Nice to have you onboard Will!
Other than Mr. Sawkill's mighty win the main thing that strikes me on this week's list is the freakish luck apparently afforded to those members living in Baildon. Does anyone know if it's a particularly lucky place? Is there some local artifact that bestows good fortune upon those who touch it?! I can see it now, 'The YP Lottery Stone of Baildon'. Locals regularly queueing round the block on a Friday morning to kiss the hallowed pebble in the hope of receiving one of mum's now infamous phonecalls: "It's Jane from the Lottery at Headingley. Unfortunately I'm not phoning to tell you you've won anything. I think you might have new bank card details because the PDQ machine isn't letting me empty your account!"
Mr. Ryder is suffering slightly today. He had a cribbage board tattooed on his left forearm over the weekend. Now, I'm no expert but even I can tell when something's gone septic. Graham confiscated his 'real' board last Friday lunchtime, after announcing that the Cricket Centre Bar doesn't have a gaming license and that the members would have to fend for themselves on matchdays if he was left to rot in Armley prison on account of David's frenzied pegging. Colton's answer to Adam Gilchrist took this to be a challenge and went straight to the tattoo parlour, reasoning that "Graham won't be able to confiscate my arm". He won't need to if David doesn't get some TCP on it sharpish.
Here we go then:
