Daryl Tuffey has signed for The Yorkshire County Cricket Club as the county’s overseas cover for Ryan Harris in the early part of the 2010 season. Harris will arrive in England after fulfilling his commitments to the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League.
Daryl Tuffey has signed for The Yorkshire County Cricket Club as the county’s overseas cover for Ryan Harris in the early part of the 2010 season. Harris will arrive in England after fulfilling his commitments to the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League.
Tuffey, a 31-year-old New Zealander, is a fast-medium bowler and a regular member of the Black Caps Test and One-Day International sides. He has played in 25 Test matches for the Black Caps, taking 77 wickets at an average of 31.11. He has also featured in 85 One-Day Internationals and 2 International T20 matches for his country.
He has played his domestic cricket in New Zealand with Auckland in recent seasons after playing for Northern Districts for the first twelve years of his professional career.
