Michael was a right-handed batsman and a left-arm fast medium bowler.
As a batsman his highest score was just 22, but with the ball he took 276 first-class wickets at only 24.57 with a best of 9-43.
He toured Pakistan with M.C.C. in 1955, but a ack injury caused his early return home and prevented him playing in 1956. In 1960 he return to the county side to take 77 wickets.
