Members' Committee
The Members' Committee was established to provide a representative body for the members. The Committee meet Club management on a frequent basis throughout the year to ensure that matters of substance affecting the membership as a whole receive the appropriate degree of discussion and consideration.
The Committee also work with the Management Team on a variety of projects to ensure that the views and interests of members are reflected in key decisions.
Structure
The Committee usually consist of four elected members and four co-opted. The Chief Executive is also a full member of the Committee. Co-opted members are asked to join the committee so that their expertise and experience in business and/or cricket matters becomes available to the full membership. They are an important and invaluable resource.
Elections take place each year, the result being announced at Yorkshire's Annual General Meeting. One elected member stands down each year, giving a four-year rotation.
Members wishing to stand for election should obtain a nomination form from the Chief Executive's office. This form should be returned to that office by December 31, complete with the names and signatures of 10 nominators who are themselves full members.
Chairman's Report
The Chairman produces a report on the year's key activities, and this is published in the Annual Report of the Club and the Yorkshire Year Book. The Chairman will also report periodically on matters of substance that the Committee is discussing with the executive, and these reports will be published on this website.
Communications
Members wishing to raise an issue with a member of the Committee should:
- speak directly to them on match days
- contact the Chairman on mlc@yorkshireccc.com, or
- write to the Chairman at the office of the Club's Chief Executive. The correspondence will then be passed to the Chairman for a response.
