The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation's Charitable Objects are to:
- Provide and promote facilities for the playing of cricket
- Advance the education of children and young people
- Advance education of the public in the history and heritage of Yorkshire cricket
As a registered Charity (number 1130878), the YCF can access funding streams that would not usually be available to the Club or YCB. The YCF can ensure that maximum funding is available for cricket based charitable programmes and initiatives.
Individuals can make a donation to the the YCF in a tax efficient manner. UK tax payers can 'Gift Aid' their donation which means that the HMR&C will increase the donation by 25%. Legacies can also be left to the YCF which will fall outside the scope of Inheritance Tax.
Individuals can make a donation online, through Self Assessment (donating tax refunds to the YCF), or in person at the Yorkshire Cricket Museum, or the Membership office at Headingley.
Companies may find the YCF an excellent vehicle utilising CSR budgets through funding education and community participation projects focusing on cricket and healthy living.
