The Michael Barker Award
This scheme provides awards up to the value of £250, which are made available to young cricketers who are struggling to meet the costs of participation in cricket.
Awards are available to help pay for the cost of kit, equipment, coaching, travel expenses and can be made up to the value of £250.
Awards are available to anyone living within Yorkshire who is unable to fully participate in cricket as they are struggling to meet the costs associated with participation.
All applications are discussed and by the Board of Trustees, who meet at least 4 times per year. The decisions to accept or reject applications are made at the Trustee Meetings, and awards are then immediately issued.
Awards can either be paid to the individual, to a cricket club, a school or other body. Where equipment / kit is required, the YCF will purchase this directly on behalf of the awardee (due to the Charity's ability to obtain special discounts from All Rounder Sports Limited).
For more information or to apply for an award, please contact Ian Chappell - i.chappell@yorkshirecb.com
