The accounts for the year ended 30 June 2010 represent the first year of the Charity's existence. 

INCOME

During the year, the Charity generated income of £279,767.

£250,000 was received from the Emerald Foundation, of which £200,000 has been committed to help fund the construction of the Yorkshire Cricket Museum at the Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground.

A £20,000 legacy was received during the year, the use of this money is restricted.  £10,000 of this legacy has created a financial support fund, which grants awards of up to £250 to help people gain access to cricket related facilities and equipment, where their personal circumstances would otherwise not allow participation in the game.  The remaining £10,000 has created an annual award for the most promising under 14 year old on the Pathways to Excellence  programme. 

A £3,000 restricted donation was received from Pro Coach Yorkshire Cricket Ltd, which is being used to help fund the North Yorkshire Young Leaders Programme.

The remaining £6,767 has been generated from individual donations, collections at cricket games, and net proceeds from fundraising dinners held during the year.

EXPENDITURE

During the year, the Charity spent £128,004.

The main item of expenditure (£100,980) related to the funding award granted to the YCCC which has allowed the Museum of Cricket to be built.  The total award granted for the Museum is £300,000, with a further £25,000 to finance further educational displays within the ground.  Payment of this award will be spread over 2 financial years of the Charity.

The YCF provided financial support amounting to £8,020, to help pay for the direct costs of running the Cricket in the Classroom initiative during the year.

£13,148 was spent on acquiring the services of a community programmes manager.

The balance of expenditure related to set up costs, the printing of promotional leaflets and materials, costs of the just Giving online donation facility, Trustees Insurance cover, and a £250 award was made from the financial support fund.
