The Changing Face of Headingley Carnegie

Overhead of Headingley as Pavilion started

In December 2005, Yorkshire CCC secured a loan of £9 million from Leeds City Council towards the cost of purchasing the cricket ground for £12 million. Subsequently the Club announced plans to redevelop the cricket ground. Since then it really has been a case of 'blink and you'll miss it!'

Headingley Carnegie Pavilion

The new Carnegie Pavilion replaced 'The Winter Shed' and the old 'Media Centre' at the Kirkstall Lane end of the ground. The previous media facilities for TV crews had become outmoded.
The shared changing-rooms in the Main Stand were superseded by new 'state of the art' changing facilities on level 2 of the new building, designed specifically for Cricket.
