Ashes ticket prices for the 4th npower Test at Headingley Carnegie

The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce the ticket pricing structure for the 4th npower Test between England and Australia to be played at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground between 7th and 11th August 2009.

Yorkshire Chief Executive, Stewart Regan, said: "We have tried to be as fair and reasonable as we can, bearing in mind that this is such a prestigious event. Our prices are in line with most other grounds. We believe that our members' tickets are the cheapest in the country. We are the only ground north of Edgbaston holding an Ashes Test next summer, so we are anticipating an extremely strong demand for tickets."

The Club has also moved to ensure that all spectators enjoy the experience of attending the Ashes Test at Headingley Carnegie by introducing an alcohol free family stand and a seperate alcohol free stand.

Tickets will go on sale to Members from 1st October with those that have been members from 2008 and before getting first choice. New members joining for the 2009 season will then get a chance to purchase Ashes tickets from 1st November with the tickets going on general sale from 1st December. It is a much anticipated fixture so all categories are urged to purchase quickly to avoid disapointment.

FURTHER INFORMATION

How can you I purchase Ashes tickets?

Members will receive a priority booking form in the post along with their membership renewal forms. You will need to fill in this form and send back to the Club during the relevant ticket window period. The booking will then be processed and a confirmation letter sent out.

Further information about where to purchase tickets once they are on general sale from 1st December will be available on our website www.yorkshireccc.com

Do I need to renew/take out membership for 2009 to take advantage of the priority windows?

Yes, priority windows have been introduced as a benefit for members of Yorkshire County Cricket Club so 2009 membership needs to have been taken out before ticket applications are processed. Please note that if your 2009 membership is subsequently cancelled, the tickets bought through that membership will be cancelled on our system.

How can I renew/take out membership?

All existing members will receive a membership renewal form in the post w/c 15th September. For information about becoming a new member please call the Membership Department on 0113 203 3631.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT TAKING OUT YCCC MEMBERSHIP IN 2009 DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL GET THE ASHES TICKETS OF YOUR CHOICE. IT SIMPLY GIVES YOU A BETTER CHANCE THAN WAITING FOR THE TICKETS TO GO ON GENERAL SALE ON 1st DECEMBER 2008.

How many tickets can I buy?

Members can buy one ticket for themselves plus three guest tickets so a maximum of four tickets per member per day. Please note the members rate only applies to the member ticket, guest tickets are charged at the full rate as outlined above.

Can I sit near friends?

We will attempt to book seats together for members if applications are sent in at the same time clearly stating you would like a block together. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that all requests will be accommodated but we will endeavour to fulfil as many as possible.

How can I pay for tickets?

By cheque, credit card or debit card or if you are paying in person, by cash. In the interests of security we ask people not to send cash in the post.

Where is the Family Stand located?

In 2009 we will have a new Family Stand, an alcohol free zone, that will be located in Block R of the North East Lower Stand (underneath the main scoreboard). We will only sell tickets in this block if there is at least one junior ticket included in the transaction. This is to guarantee a genuine family area at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground.

Are there any other alcohol free zones in the ground?

In line with the feedback we have received over the last few years, we have decided to make the remainder of the North East Lower Stand into an alcohol free zone.

Are there any restricted view seats?

Yes, there are a limited number of restricted view seats in the Wintershed Lower (£45), North East (£45) and North (£40). Please contact the Ticket Office for further details and availability – 0871 971 1222.
