International cricket Ground Regulations

Yorkshire County Cricket Club HEADINGLEY CARNEGIE STADIUM - GROUND REGULATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL CRICKET  

 

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL CRICKET MATCHES PLAYED UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE ICC THE IMPORTATION OF ALCOHOL INTO THE STADIUM IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

1 The Club Management reserves the right of admission to the stadium.

2 All matches will be played in accordance with the rules and regulations of The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and The International Cricket Council (ICC) and their respective laws of the Game.

 

3 Play cannot be guaranteed to take place on any particular day or at any particular time and

the YCCC and Governing Bodies   reserve the right to change its advertised fixtures without

notice or liability.

 

4 No refund of any cash admission charge paid at the turnstile will be made. Refund terms and

conditions for matches played under auspices of the ECB and ICC can be found on the reverse

of the admission tickets. Terms and conditions must be strictly adhered to.

 

5 At the YCCC Managements discretion, refunds may be made in respect of tickets sold and

paid for in advance of a match, where such a match is postponed.  This is subject to a time

 limitation, the details of which can be obtained from the YCCC ticket office.

 

6 The Club Management reserves the right to refuse admission to or eject from the Ground:-

a) any person dressed in a manner which is
i)    considered inappropriate, offensive or distasteful
ii)  considered dangerous either to their own safety or the safety of other spectators
iii) considered an obstruction to the view of other spectators.
b) any person who refuses to be searched by any servant or agent of the Club. 

7 Fireworks, smoke canisters, flares, knives, forks (other than plastic knives & forks) bottles, glasses, cans, flags, banners, poles, horns, musical instruments and other similar articles or containers which might be used as a weapon or missile are not permitted within the stadium and will be confiscated.

8 The throwing of any object within the ground is strictly forbidden. 

 

9 It is an offence to use foul and abusive language, obscene chanting or racial abuse.  Action will be taken against any individual(s) indulging in such acts. 

 

10  Unauthorised persons are strictly forbidden from entering upon the field of play unless advised to do so in an emergency.  Individuals entering upon the field of play without permission may be charged with aggravated trespass.

 

11  The obstruction of gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and like places and standing in seated areas while play is in progress is strictly forbidden. 

 

12  The climbing of floodlight pylons, stands or any other structure within the ground is strictly forbidden. 

 

13  Unnecessary noise such as that from the use of mobile telephones, radios, air horns, whistles, musical instruments and behaviour likely to cause confusion or annoyance to any person is not permitted in any part of the stadium. 

 

14  Any person attempting to gain admission to, or being found within, a section of the ground designated for “Members Only” without the appropriate authorisation may be ejected from the stadium. 

 

15  With the exception of persons authorised by the YCCC Management, ECB or ICC and press representatives holding official passes, the taking of photographs, cine photography or video footage inside the ground are prohibited.  In addition, recording for radio, television or for private purposes, whether for transmission or otherwise, is not permitted except with a special authorisation in writing by the YCCC Management, ECB, or ICC. 

 

16  Only persons specifically authorised in writing by the Club Management are permitted to distribute either without charge or offer for sale within the ground any newspapers, periodicals or any other articles. 

 

17  Any person found damaging or defacing property within the stadium will be prosecuted.

18 Persons failing to comply with instructions from a steward or an authorised agent of the Club may be ejected from the stadium. 

 

19 The Stadium Management reserves the right for its servants and agents to remove from the ground any person who does not comply with published Ground Regulations, the Rules and Regulations of the ICC, ECB or whose presence within the ground is or could be reasonably construed as constituting a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to any other person. 

20 The Stadium Management reserves the right to prohibit members of the public from playing ball games within the stadium when to do so would give offence, cause obstruction or endanger those participation in the games or others within the stadium.

21 For all International matches played under the auspices of the ICC the importation of alcohol into the stadium is strictly forbidden  

22 Alcohol Free Family Stand – The North East Stand Block R has been designated the Family Stand and alcohol will not be permitted in the area. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions relating to the purchase of tickets for this area will result in ejection from the stadium.

23 In compliance with the ban on smoking it is not permitted to smoke in any enclosed areas within the stadium or in the seated areas with a view of the playing area. Designated smoking areas around the stadium are identified by signage and only these areas can be used by smokers.

24 Mobile telephones must not be used within the grandstands or within sight of the playing area other than for sending or receiving text messages. Mobile telephones should be kept on “silent mode” to prevent annoyance to spectators and disruption to play.

25 Everyone entering the stadium is admitted subject to their acceptance of the above Ground Regulations. Entry to the stadium will constitute unqualified acceptance of all the rules and regulations.
