Yorkshire Pride Lottery Draw - Week 16 (05/02/10)
"A tenner, a tenner! My kingdom for a tenner!" Alas, it wasn't to be and I had to spend the vast majority of the weekend rummaging for change down the back of the sofa in order to buy milk. By way of pre-empting my inevitable (and increasingly crucial!) jackpot win I should like to take this opportunity to point out that even though my mother runs the lottery there is nothing she can do to manipulate the result. This is a cause of weekly dismay to me but she insists it is the case. Rest assured that once the £4,000 cheque has cleared I will put at least £20 behind the bar in the Long Room for a round of drinks. I can't say fairer than that.
