3.59pm Yorkshire 83-1 after 30 overs and the Diamonds are 163-4 after 31 chasing 176. Campbell 76.

Tea Report Yorkshire have made a solid start to their second innings having been made to follow-on during the second afternoon against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

The White Rose were bowled out for 73 in their first-innings reply to 296, losing their ninth and 10th wickets after lunch.

Thankfully, George Hill, Adam Lyth and, latterly, Tom Kohler-Cadmore have made an encouraging dent into the 223-run deficit, helping reach tea on 79-1 from 28 overs.

Openers Hill (34) and Lyth shared 65 for the first wicket before the former was run out having been called through for a quick single.

Lyth has since reached tea on 33 with Kohler-Cadmore nine. The deficit is 144 runs with 32 overs remaining in the day.

Yorkshire are 68-8 after 27 overs with Bess and Fisher charged with leading a recovery bid.

12.58pm Six overs left in the Sparks innings at Scarborough. They are 136-7.

Lunch Report Yorkshire have lost eight morning wickets to slip into deep trouble at the start of day two against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, reaching lunch on 63-8 in their first innings.

Jordan Thompson wrapped up the Notts first innings for 296 during the second over of the day, severely damaging the hosts’ chances of winning the LV= Insurance County Championship title.

He trapped Joey Evison lbw for 58. With Notts failing to claim a third batting bonus point, it means they cannot win the title unless Lancashire and Hampshire draw at Liverpool.

Unfortunately, Notts were able to put that disappointment behind them as seamers Luke Fletcher and Evison claimed three wickets apiece

Thompson has been their top-scorer so far with 16 in 23.4 overs.

Dom Bess is unbeaten on 10. Yorkshire must reach 147 to avoid having to follow-on.

12.34pm LUNCH. Duke is bowled by Paterson to bring the morning to a close. 63-8.

Sparks, meanwhile, are 114-7 in the 37th over at Scarborough.

12.21pm WICKET Brook falls caught behind off Evison, 12. Yorkshire 60-7.

12.05pm WICKET Two wickets in three balls for Evison. Revis caught at first slip by Hutton. 45-6.

11.58am WICKET Thompson lbw to a full in-swinger from Evison, 16. Yorkshire are 45-5 in the 17th over.

11.39am Better news at Scarborough than at Trent Bridge at present.

Sparks are 68-5. The left-arm spin of Smith has claimed two wickets in three balls just now.

Yorkshire are 22-4 in the 13th over, Fletcher has got Fraine caught behind for 12.

11.30am WICKET Lyth trapped lbw by Hutton, 4. Yorkshire are 21-3 after 10 overs. Brook joins Fraine (12) at the crease.

Sparks are 66-3 after 16 overs at Scarborough.

11.11am Brilliant start for the Diamonds at Scarborough. Two wickets for the left-arm seam of Slater, including the key scalp of Eve Jones. Sparks are 36-3 in the 11th over.

Yorkshire are 21-2 in the seventh over at Trent Bridge, replying to 296. A couple of early leg-side boundaries for Fraine.

11.01am Wow. Northants have been beaten by Essex, in Division Two, by an innings at Chelmsford. That’s half an hour into day two.

10.58am WICKETS Two wickets in two balls for Fletcher, who gets Hill caught in the slips and then bowls Kohler-Cadmore. Yorkshire are 5-2 after three overs.

10.37am WICKET Action packed start to the day. Notts are 296 all out. Thompson has trapped Evison lbw. That point evades Notts, who can’t win the Championship if there’s a positive result at Liverpool.

At Scarborough, Slater has Perrin caught at square-leg by Campbell. Sparks are 2-2 in the second over.

10.29am Underway at Trent Bridge. Notts 296-9. They need to get to 300 for a third batting point to realistically keep their title hopes alive. Early boundary for Paterson off Coad.

Diamonds have an early wicket at Scarborough. Beth Langston has trapped Kelly lbw. 1-1 in the first over.

10.05am Central Sparks have won the toss at Scarborough and will bat first.

Northern Diamonds: Armitage c, Hopkins, Kalis, Dobson, Campbell, Heath w, Smith, Langston, Graham, Slater, Levick.

Central Sparks: Jones c, Kelly, Perrin, Davies, Brookes, Wong, Fackrell, Hill w, Arlott, Boycott, Davis.

Good morning.

It is day two of our Championship fixture against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, which will resume this morning with the hosts on 292-9 and chasing a batting point which is going to be absolutely crucial to their hopes of winning the title.

If they don’t reach 300 this morning, it means a win for either Lancashire or Hampshire at Liverpool would eliminate them from the race.

Ben Coad claimed three wickets yesterday, while Matthew Revis claimed the first two of his first-class career.

A quick apology to the latter. Amidst the late drama of a few wickets falling and reports to file last night, his maiden wicket of Brett Hutton was attributed to Coad on the Twitter feed.

Harry Duke claimed six catches behind the stumps yesterday, the Yorkshire record being seven held by David Bairstow.

There is also a very important game taking place at Scarborough today, with the Northern Diamonds facing Central Sparks in the semi-final eliminator of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

We will keep you up to date with both games. 10.30am starts at both venues.

We will have a stream available at both venues. Enjoy the day.
