Northern Diamonds are regional women’s cricket team representing Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland.
Designed to continue the development of women’s cricket, the new regional centre’s of excellence bridge the gap between recreational cricket and international cricket.
During the shortened 2020 season, Northern Diamonds won five our of their six group games in the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy, a 50-over competition. As a result, they progressed to the final at Edgbaston where they were defeated by Southern Vipers in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy Final - 2020

Northern Diamonds’ season culminated with a Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy Final defeat at Edgbaston, with the Southern Vipers coming out the victors by 38 runs. However, it was a season of great promise with a variety of players putting in stand-out performances.
